In the film 2 women think the main actor has been hit by a bus and help him into their parlour, then the husband (Tom) walks in. It was a minor role and the credits do not specify who played this character.PHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10505462828969815943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8799060793812204452.post-91861988633497807472014-11-23T13:39:29.634-05:002014-11-23T13:39:29.634-05:00Dennis Hoey may not have been the Inspector Lestra...Dennis Hoey may not have been the Inspector Lestrade from Conan Doyle's books, but I remember him fondly from Universal's Holmes series.I didn't realize he did so much stage work and it was great fun to learn that he acted with Nigel Bruce previously and played Conan Doyle later on TV.Rick29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358116647815569722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8799060793812204452.post-26196003822849089682014-11-22T20:18:18.098-05:002014-11-22T20:18:18.098-05:00Hoey really is a wonderful actor and I'm glad ...Hoey really is a wonderful actor and I'm glad we sparked some interest in him for you. I'm rather curious what will become of his belongings as well. I hope he had the forethought to donate that script to a film museum. If not, then we'll just have to wait for you to develop that script for the blogathon! The Metzinger Sistershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10728879307994086409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8799060793812204452.post-89897937386812221272014-11-22T20:15:35.688-05:002014-11-22T20:15:35.688-05:00How true! Hoey is one of those. Although I've yet to see a few of the early 30s entries you mention. Another character actor with an incredible career. Wonderful tribute. THANKS so much for including this write-up in the blogathon! <br /><br />AuroraCitizen Screenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11596338896095275116noreply@blogger.com
