Congratulations to Damsbo for identifying this screenshot from Maytime (1935) starring Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy. In this scene, the two lovers are enjoying a gypsy performance at the Maytime fair. Avid MacEddy fans might recognize the back of Eddy's head in this scene!
Gypsies in a 30s movie. My guess is on the highest-grossing film of 1937: "Maytime".
