Choo! Choo! The train is coming into the station. Stay on the platform until it comes to a complete stop. One little boy is anxious to board...until he learns that his mother will not be staying for the ride. Does this scene look familiar? GAME OVER.
Congratulations to the Tactful Typist for identifying this screenshot from "Four Girls in Town" (1957) starring George Nader, Julie Adams, and Elsa Martinelli. This is Marianne Koch with a little boy waiting for the train at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. It looks like a Griffith Park still has train rides for youngsters....neat!
Was it ever revealed where this screen shot is from? I love this game, as I've played a version of it on my website before. Such a fun thing to do, but I'm just not familiar with this image. The little train looks so cute and the little boy too. Would love to know what movie this is!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Net
This is from the film "Four Girls in Town" (1957)
ReplyDeleteBut it took me more than SEVEN years to find it!!!
YES! That's the film...Choo, Choo!! Once you've seen the movie, can you ever forget that super cool model train? I'll have to see if Griffith Park actually had a railroad like that for children to ride. Congratulations on identifying this scene!
DeleteWow! 7 years! Glad I subscribed to this post to see the answer.
DeleteYou were right The Metzinger Sisters… it was certainly difficult, but the train looks really cool.
Great job, Tactful Typist!!! 👏🎬
