The Impossibly Difficult Name that Movie Game

Good heavens! Just when you think these games couldn't get any harder, you see a scene like this....blurry men walking blurry dogs. It just happens to be a lousy screenshot, because the film is quite clear - in fact, it has been released several times on DVD in various restored editions.

As always, if you need to know the rules to the Impossibly Difficult Name that Movie game or the prize, click here!

    1. Great guess! That's not the film but you are close with the French connection.

  2. Is it a scene from the movie Rules of the Game/La règle du jeu?

    1. No, not quite that French, Betty...we only post American and British film captures for these puzzles since they would be extra impossible if foreign titles were included as well! Hint: a French actor is the star of this film.

  3. With that las hint in mind, I'll risk a guess on "Les Visiteurs du Soir" (1942).

    1. No Martin, it's not a foreign film...it's American, but with a French actor in the lead. :-)

    2. Meant to say the 1934 version of the movie with Mr. Chevalier.

  5. Is it Gigi with Louis Jourdan? Speaking of French actors.

    1. No Betty, not Gigi. That film was shot in beautiful Technicolor...but you are hot on the trail! An actor from Gigi starred in this picture.

    2. One more guess: The Merry Widow, 1937, with Maurice Chevalier.
